any one out fishing this weekend?

hoping to get out on saturday and was wondering if the smoothies are still about.

had a charter out of weymouth cancelled on saturday so went fishing off brean down. not to bad a day for me with a thornie around 6lb, a pout, a snotty eel, a bass of 3lb 8oz and a strap of 6lbish.

don't ask how steve got on

Well with the comp being cancelled me and roy decided to still go out.

just the 2 of us and we had a steady but not frantic day. 15 thornies, 6 straps, 3 doggies and a small tope all from around the hinkley and gore bell area. surprised to see the topelet as i didn't know they came this far up channel.

Was out of Burnham on Saturday twas a bit windy but fishable.
Between me Dicky and Dad we had over a dozen rays, half a dozen eels, 5 whiting and
a doggy. Good fun on light gear.

As above, not a bad days fishing but could have done with a little less wind so we could have ventured a little bit further afield.

haven't seen any other club boats out lately has everyone relocated to weymouth?

NATALIE JANE was out again on saturday. plenty of fish during the ebb but not a lot through the flood. between 3 of us we had around 25 thornies, a couple of straps, whiting and dogs. No bass again and as usual the wind got up in the afternoon.

got the boat out again yesterday for a short one over the top of the tide.
i only managed 3 thornies and a dog but dad and steve both faired better with dad catching our 2nd small topelet of the year. hope the cod arrive soon.

A few whiting about to and they seem bigger this year.
